Yes. It’s true. I officially hate the National Weather Service.
Yesterday they told me that there was a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Foolishly I believed them and bike commuted into work.
Yesterday I learned that it is possible to get a swimming workout in while riding home in a thunderstorm.
This morning I looked at the weather forecast and saw the following:
“Well, they can’t possibly be wrong two days in a row - that’s a 70% chance of not having a thunderstorm”, I thought to myself, “Today I’ll take the motorcycle into work.”
So here I am at work watching this afternoon’s thunderstorms rain on my motorcycle. I wanted to leave early because I’m on vacation tomorrow.
Fuckers.

Life is hard up there…
Maybe I’ll see you at Fitchburg this weekend?
I’ll probably show up on either the Saturday or Sunday to watch the circuit race or crit, but since I’m a lowly cat 5 suck-ass cyclist, I’m not actually competing in it. So, if you see some loser standing around near the girls in pink, come over and say hi :).
There is an airport right beside the road circuit here in Beauce, Quebec. Maybe you could fly your plane in to cheer for Ireen and I tomorrow. Pretty please?

I’d love to, but I think that flying 4 hours to another country to cheer you guys on as opposed to driving the 1 hour to cheer HRH Litka on may land me in the dog house tomorrow, so sadly I must demur and instead go shout mad cheers for Kerry.
